1、什么是宝珠砂？

What is ceramic sand?

宝珠砂是一种新近开发的球形人造砂。它以铝矾土为原料，经高温熔融、压缩空气吹气造粒，筛分配制而成。具有近似球形、高耐火度、低热膨胀率等优点。宝珠砂可应用于各种铸造工艺以生产优质铸件。

宝珠砂已广泛地使用于各种常见的铸造工艺中，如覆膜砂（壳型）、树脂自硬砂（呋喃、碱酚醛、酚脲烷等）、冷芯盒、热芯盒、消失模等。

宝珠砂通常以氧化铝含量分成高铝、中铝等不同等级，同时按不同的粒度分布形成很多规格。化学成分及粒度分布可参照下表。

How many kinds of foundry sands popularly used nowadays?How to classify foundry sands?

常用铸造砂有石英砂（硅砂），镁橄榄石砂，宝珠砂，锆英砂，铬铁砂，日本cerabeads 等。
铸造砂一般分为天然砂和人造砂。

There are two kinds of foundry sand popularly used,natural and artificial.
The commonly used foundry sands are silica sand, chromite sand, olivine, zircon ，ceramic sand and cerabeads.

5、覆膜砂的用途是什么，覆膜砂有哪些种类？

How to use resin coated sand?How to classify resin coated sands？

覆膜砂可用来制作铸件尺寸精度高、表面质量好的砂芯（砂型），普通砂芯（砂型需要很高的强度及韧性）
覆膜砂还可以单独用于壳型铸造。
常用覆膜砂有：石英砂覆膜砂，宝珠砂覆膜砂，铬铁砂覆膜砂等。

Resin coated sand can also be applied as ‘SHELL”method.
Sorted by the base sand of resin coated sands,there are silica RCS, ceramic sand RCS and zircon RCS,etc..

6、常用铸造用砂的耐火度是多少？

What is the refractoriness of popularly used foundry sand?

Refractoriness of popularly used foundry sand:
硅砂Silica sand :1713℃

宝珠砂Ceramic sand :≥1800℃
铬铁矿砂Chromite sand:1900℃

橄榄石砂Olivine sand:1700~1800℃

锆英砂Zircon:2430℃

7、消失模用砂对原砂有哪些要求？

What are the special demands of sand in lost foam process?

消失模用宝珠砂需要具有以下特点：
a流动性优异 b耐用性高
c热导率高 d 细粉含量低
e无磁性
Foundry sand used for lost foam process should have these special properties:
a.Excellent flowability.
b.High permanence.
c.High heat conductivity.
d.Lower dust contents.

e)Nonmagnetic.
